It has been implementing livelihood security, income generation, Agricultural development and Skill development programmes to End poverty in all its forms everywhere in Goal-1 and to End hunger, achieve food security and improved nutrition and promote sustainable agriculture in Goal-2 of SDGs To ensure healthy lives and promote well-being for all at all ages under Goal-3 of SDGs the Organisation has been implementing General Health activities, Maternal, Newborn Child Health & Nutrition, Malaria eradication, HIV AIDs prevention, Adolescent health, Maternity assistance, Health and sanitation, safe drinking water and remote area health service activities.
SWATI has reinforced to continue the engagement with most vulnerable communities in both rural and urban locations, experiencing shortages of food and having the most difficulty to build a sustainable livelihood such as SCs & STs, landless, marginal and small farmers, poor women, transgender, migrants, physically challenged and children to meet the strategic objectives. Special effort shall be made to reach the Particularly Vulnerable Tribal Groups (PVTG) Communities
SWATI's approach—action, reflection, replication, and influencing—engages with variables like stakeholder relationships, policies, socio-economic and environmental conditions. It works at the grassroots and strengthens like-minded organizations. Known for complementing state efforts, SWATI supports mainstream development through community monitoring and action research to influence pro-poor policies. The organization focuses on community-driven development and a people-centric approach for sustainable impact.
SWATI reaches out to one lakh families of 600 villages and 4 municipality areas in 4 districts – Kandhamal, Ganjam, Boudh and Khordha of Odisha state. It has promoted 300 Village development Committees, 5 farmers produces companies, 10 water users groups, 135 farmers groups, 228 rural women SHGs, 940 urban women SHGs, 40 cluster level SHG federations, 44 Udyana Vikash Samiti, 100 Vana Sanrakhyana Samiti, 339 Adolescent Groups and 57 youth groups it its working area.
