Er. Hari Sankar Rout is a development professional with over 25 years of experience in the field of socio-economic development, particularly in tribal-dominated regions. He holds an AMIE in Civil Engineering, along with postgraduate degrees in Political Science and Law (LLB). His core domain expertise includes Natural Resource Management (NRM)-based livelihoods, Child Rights & Protection, and Institution Building, all aimed at enhancing the economic well-being and dignity of tribal communities. As the Founder Secretary, he has played a pivotal role in shaping the organization’s vision and mission. Er. Rout's innovative contributions to rural development have earned him notable recognition, including the prestigious SAMBHAVI Award (2018) for his pioneering initiative in electrifying 75 remote tribal households by harnessing stream water through a turbine in Tumudibandh Block of Kandhamal district. He is also an active member of various committees and development networks, contributing his expertise to policy dialogues and collaborative initiatives.
